We have endured through countless storms & one hurricane.If band members feel at risk they have a right to cancel & same for us. Both bands & our company agree in a signed contract that the decision to play or not will be made 4 hours prior to start time.Everything we do in planning, scheduling & paying for these bands take endless hours. There isn't anyone that wants all the bands to play more than us.Predicted or unpredicted forecasts, the change in storm patterns & intensity of storms.The 10's of thousands of dollars of equipment at risk of getting damage.High winds, lightening, rain: Safety of customers moving to shelter, all the electrical outlets, wiring cables, electrical equipment on stage.First and foremost is the safety of our customers, our band players & our staff. The overall thought process is listed below. The decision process of canceling our bands have many variables. Much like those who professionally cast the weather, we don’t always get it right. We will always err on the side of caution. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our customers, staff and band members. If there is any chance that it could possibly rain, we then must gage both the duration and severity of that weather event, and then make the tough decision as if we should cancel the band or not. When bad weather is a possibility, and subsequently predicted for our area, we have a four hour window in which to cancel the band.
